Job Title: Projects Delivery Manager

Reporting to: Group Engineering Manager

Location: Gabon (Port Gentil amp; site) with occasional trips to London

Role: Contract opportunity (24 months)

Our London-based projects team seeks a highly skilled individual with a robust background in project management to lead and oversee various disciplines, including engineering and site supervision. From piping to civil amp; structural, Eamp;I, and commissioning, you'll have the opportunity to manage diverse scopes of work. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction and commissioning activities for specific projects which are underway in Gabon.

Whilst reporting to the Group Engineering Manager based in London, you will undertake the role and responsibility of Project Delivery Manager in Gabon, where you will spend your time between our offices in Port Gentil and the project location, on site.

The key projects and responsibilities are defined below as follows:

1) Fuel Gas Compressor (GFR) and Diesel Topping Unit (DTU):

  • Work closely with Project Management team and focus on site constructions and commissioning scopes for these projects;
  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones;
  • To study and assess the relevant drawings, specifications and instruction of functional area of responsibility;
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for construction and commissioning phases of the project;
  • To ensure adequate and qualified supervision and skilled labour resources are employed to meet schedule requirements;
  • To coordinate construction activities in terms of HSE, quality, planning and cost;
  • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baselines;
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues;
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables;
  • To manage the construction interfaces with the operations and the subcontractors.

2) Debottlenecking Projects:

  • Act as overall Project Manager for these two projects from engineering, procurement to final execution with close collaborations with the Study Managers for the engineering phases of these projects;
  • Review and approve detailed engineering inputs for constructions;
  • Manage RFQ processes for equipment procurement and construction/commissioning service contracts;
  • Other relevant responsibilities as detailed in the individual project deliverables.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Process / Petrochemicals Industry amp; / or onshore / offshore oil amp; gas is essential with preferably 3+ years of project management or construction management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organisations.
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction process, its implementation and management.
  • Demonstrable experience in similar role or senior position in Construction and Commissioning Management working in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to deliver training to personnel within the construction team and a commitment to develop team members.
  • Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of team working and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget close.
